Crest Nicholson
New homes across the East of England
I have managed public and stakeholder consultation for a six Crest Nicholson developments in Suffolk and Essex, organising public exhibitions, producing and issuing consultation materials, managing enquiries, liaising with local residents and councillors and producing Statements of Community Consultation to support planning applications. With each scheme, the aim was to run an effective and robust engagement process, that demonstrated we had listened and responded to local feedback.
Iceni Energy
Straw-fuelled biomass plant
Snetterton Biomass Plant is a 40MW straw-fuelled facility in Norfolk. I managed the pre-application public and stakeholder consultation process, which included extensive community engagement as well as liaison with local councillors and farming groups. The consultation highlighted that local people were generally supportive of the scheme and enabled the project team to address the issue of straw supply. I worked closely with Iceni in the run up to the planning committee to mobilise support and to brief members. The scheme was approved by Breckland District Council.
Arrowcroft
Port regeneration and supermarket
Newhaven Port and Properties worked with developers Arrowcroft to develop plans to provide a new ferry terminal, shops and restaurants at Newhaven Port in Sussex. I planned and managed the public consultation process, which involved two public exhibitions, an online consultation, regional and national media liaison and political engagement. The project received over 400 letters of support from local residents.
